Burbank Park

Image
A couple weeks ago, the three of us made our very first outing together to Burbank park (besides the doctor's and my mom's house). We had so much fun! First we had dinner at Corner Bakery. It is a little expensive since you are not served, but the food is great and you don't have to tip! Evie was such a good little girl while we ate. She slept the whole time. After we finished up, we drove over to the park. Once we had everything out of the car and ready, we were off! Israel and I took turns pushing Evie in the stroller. Then we found a nice shady spot to sit down and hang out for a bit. When I took Evie out of her car seat, she woke up. The weather was so nice that day, a little warm but with a nice breeze to cool you off. I could tell she really enjoyed being outside for a change. Next time we will have to stay longer and bbq or something.

Here's a Little Story...

so my due date was june 30, but no baby arrived. my doctor was on vacation until july 5th. the plan was if there was still no baby when she came back, we would induce labor on the 6th. i was preparing for her arrival every day by cleaning the house over and over again, organizing and reorganizing all the baby items, and almost daily trips to babys r us. it was so much fun! friday, the 3rd my dad arrived at my grandparents' house to spend the holiday weekend with us. we spent the day catching up and had a wonderful dinner. grandma made cornish game hens, squash, green beans, one of her unique salads, and oatmeal cookies and ice cream for dessert. my dad still didn't know the sex of the baby. he wanted to wait because he said it would be like christmas morning. he almost made it, but my grandpa accidentally spoiled it when he asked my dad if he was enjoying talking to his daughter and granddaughter. oh well... The Big Day saturday morning i awoke at 4am like usual to use the bath...

Waiting...

So here we are...5 more days until my EDD! i can't believe how close we are to having our little girl in our house. I've been keeping busy doing the last cleaning of the bathroom, kitchen and everything (last because i'm assuming i won't be doing housework for awhile). i had my last ob visit wed. i'm still not dilated at all! My doctor will be on vacation until the 5th of July, but i really hope the baby doesn't wait that long to come. this has been the hardest week by far of my whole pregnancy. mostly because i've been having a lot of back pain and my stomach is really sore. i'm guessing because the baby is taking up so much space and my uterus is stretched to it's maximum capacity. fixing up the "baby's room" We spent the sat. before father's day at israel's parents house because his mom was working sunday. Finally everyone was together, iz, me, dad, mom, becky, david, and suzy! we were only missing diana because she was at a ...

this is my first attempt at keeping a blog. i want to try my best to update as often as possible, but we'll see how it goes. the past couple of days have been extremely busy trying to get everything ready for the baby. monday richie came over and helped us move the baby furniture into our room, which was not an easy task. i think the furniture we picked out was a bit too big for this one bedroom guest house we live in now, but after 3 hours or so we managed to fit it all in. we also got a new couch(finally!), our first in 2 years of being married. i bought a cover and a couple of pillows from target to match. now our house actually looks like a nice home! i love this nesting period. yesterday i spent the day washing bed sheets for the nursery and putting away all of the baby clothes and all the other necessities. the "baby nook" looks quite cute. i don't have the wall decorations up yet, but i should have them within the next week. i'll post pictures once i get th...
